I also got this bluetooth dongle and have had the same problems as a previous customer! There are no drivers for this product and windows is unable to locate any either. There are no instructions at all, nor a make of the device so you cant even Google driver for it. Incase people are interest im using Windows Vista Home.
I bought this as it was so small and cheap but now I know why.
When I plugged it into my XP Home PC it installed no problem.
However in order to transfer files from my mobile to my PC, I have to right-click the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and choose "Receive a file" each and everytime I want to transfer a file. This makes it strictly for occasional use. For more advanced pairing and intuitive file transfer I reccomend a more expensive brandname e.g. Belkin
Using Windows 7 Ijust plugged in and it worked straight away. Yes, you have to tell it to receive each file but for the price it is good value.
I bought this to transfer files from my phone to my laptop without having to fish ot the sync cable every time as my Laptop didn't have a built in Bluetooth facility.
Secondary reason was that it was a very small dongle and wouldn't stick out from the side of the chassis.
No drivers supplied and no brand to find any so I had to download and pay for "Blue Soleil" drivers to get it to work properly.
Final problem was that despite its diminutive size, it still sticks out further than it should, showing a few millimetres of the silver USB connector.
Although the packet indicates compatible with VISTA this didn't work for me - supposed to be plug & play but VISTA Drivers not available as no Disc supplied and will not load until Manufacturer's Drivers are downloaded and as there is no indication of the Manufacturer the only option is to return for credit - this took 3 requests to Play.com to get authorisation.
