 Good Value

I bought 2 of these. They arrived within 5 days, well-packaged. Slotted them in, and they work a treat, making a 7 yr old XP machine render photos as quickly as our 4 yr old Vista machine with 3GB. Excellent value.

But do be sure about getting the correct chips - I got burned last time I upgraded by getting PC3200 chips for a motherboard that couldn't handle them. Buyer beware...

brilliant for an old pentium 4

i just bought this for my old socket 478 pentium 4 computer, upgrading from 2 sticks of 256mb to this and a kingston 512mb, the speed has gone through the roof, so with the aid of a new agp mobo im able to play all my old games from like 2004 on it again(i had to downgrade because my first mobo blew up).

 Do not buy!

Bought 2 of these 1GB modules a few days ago. As soon as I installed started to get random errors. After some research I downloaded a memory tester. It reported memory faults on both units, So I've returned.

I've bought weel over a dozen memory upgrades over the last 15 years and only ever had one go wrong. To have two faulty in one order is unheard of. Difference this time? I've always bought branded memory before and will do so again from now on.

Those of you that have not had issues, I would seriously advise you download a memory tester (lots on the net), as often errors don't appear for many days or weeks.

This is obviously cheap/untested memory and I would would advise anyone 100% to invest a few more pounds for branded and avoid this at all costs.

Regards

 Excellent Buy

It's only ram at the end of the day, only had 500mb in my computer now got 2gb tell the difference straight away. People who get problems with this very simple product has had a bad case of bad luck,

No problems done in 5 minutes so 5 stars from me.

Incompatible, yes, but it might work on a different system.

Well it was the same spec as the 1Gb stick already in my PC so thought it should be OK despite some reviews mentioning incompatibility.
But it wasnt. Seemed to cause rebooting and some system instability so repackaged it and sent it back to play who refunded the amount and the postage. Would give play 5 stars for service, but cant give the RAM 5 as it never actually worked, no problems with the refunds service though so 3 stars overall. It seems that some others have got it working though.

 Fantastic

It took me a long time to pluck up the courage to buy RAM as i heard so much about getting it just right with compatability etc. Well after buying 2 of these modules for my Aopen i can deffinetly say i have no regrets! The price is fantastic, they work just great and have improved my computer's performance no end. Remember if you do your research and make sure your motherboard matches the RAM, then you can't go wrong!

 Excellent!

I bought this to upgrade the memory on my Dell Dimension PC. The only grip I had was how long it took to reach me, but once I did, it was easy to install and very noticeably increased the working speed of my PC. Great value for money.

 Solid memory

I have now purchased 7 of these 1GB DIMM modules for some of my older P4 machines and they all work great, and much cheaper on play then anywhere elese i've seen.
People that have had problems with this RAM should look at compatability issues with the system board. I have installed on 4 different types of machines and all works great!

 Disappointing

Bought two of these as they were the cheapest available on the net.

One worked fine but the second caused all sorts of boot-up problems and crashes. I replaced it, but the replacement caused exactly the same types of problem. Having now paid for two returns, I am buying a more reliable brand elsewhere - and wished I had done so in the first place! Also I should note that there were a lot more negative reviews of this product when I first purchased it - and they seem to have disappeared, although the positive reviews are still here!

 Well what can I say!

Bought this on Tuesday, came in the post today, took 2 min to fit into my Motherboard and from going from 256MB of RAM to 1.18GB is pretty damn noticeable and I am just about to buy another because I'm that pleased with the performance, no more hold ups on the load time any more!
