I'd never used this brand, or in truth, actually ever heard of this make prior to purchasing them. Once received, I was gutted that I had two discs fail out of the first three! Undeterred, I read some reviews on here - one was very helpful and advised that burning at a speed 10x was best suited. How right he was! Whilst I always now attempt to burn at 10x, I usually end up burning at 8x which works just as well. Also; I was burning via an external Phillips writer connected to my laptop via a hub - this wasn't ideal (although this was never an issue with other brands of discs) and once I bypassed the hub and connected direct to the laptop itself , I never had one disc fail on me . All in all, excellent value for money - since following the tips I've mentioned, I've not had one coaster! Incidentally, every disc I burn is verified, so I know that the sectors on the disc itself have copied accurately - these discs always pass that test with flying colours.

I'm on my second pack of these DVDs now - I was hesitant about buying from a brand I hadn't heard of but I'm glad I did - and will do again. Great value, and not one burn failure.

Not a single coaster after 1,000 discs!!

Excellent discs, not had a single coaster after 1,000, will continue using these for long term.

Tip to the others having problems, DO NOT burn at 16x which you probably are, always but at half to 3/4 of the rated speed for guaranteed burns (in this case 8x - 10x would be best), this applies to any disc/drive

  Awful Problems with these discs

These discs wouldnt write in 2 writers that were under a year old, a Pioneer and a NEC writer, the writers wouldnt even see the discs and the writers both had the latest firmware available.

I did however get them to write on a 4 year old Liteon writer that i have here but at a max of 12x only and the writers firmware is dated 2006 its crazy.

I would recommend people give these discs a miss big time unless they want to be trying countless different writers for one that works.

  great stuff

well ive used theses 3 times now thats close to 300 hundred burns and not one coaster at all
i think the review where there burning was failing may have more to do with the dvd writer the person has than these dvds
well worth the 12.99
will be buying again

  Would make good drinks coasters

Am regretting being so cheap as to buy these now. Have tried to burn 6 of them with burn fails with every attempt. The only good thing about them is that the top surface is all silver which makes it easy to write the titles on them; a redundant plus however as there's not much point marking up a failed burn.
