Review

We Will Rock You recently became the longest running production at the Dominion Theatre, surpassing the previous record held by Grease, proving its popularity and longevity in the West End. The most rock & roll show in the West End, pick up tickets today and join in the rhapsody!

Based on the story of the rock group Queen, We Will Rock You was written by Ben Elton with the aid of band members Brian May and Roger Taylor. The story is set in a tongue-in-cheek dystopian future where traits of originality and the individual are outlawed. However, a small group of bohemians fight against the oppression and find a beacon for their wishes in the form of a wandering loner who may just be part of a prophecy set to restore freedom to the world. Needless to say, there are humongous dollops of rocky goodness throughout! No self-respecting Queen fan can afford to miss We Will Rock You!

This is really good for anyone who loves queen. My Favourite characters are kashoggi and killer queen as they are both really funny !!!

Saw this in its 5th year at the dominion - the fact that it was no longer the original cast did not detract from the performance at all, it was wonderful! Unless you actually hated queen, you'd love this - it's surprisingly funny and poignant in places, stuffed full of queen hits, brilliantly integrated into ben elton's script, and extremely well performed. We liked this so much we went to see a local, amateur performance too - and if it comes to edinburgh we'll go and see it there too! It is wonderful, fun, cheesy yes, but doesn't take itself too seriously. Go and see it.
