Superbike racing is a form of motorcycle racing that takes place on modified production motorcycles as opposed to Grand Prix racing which is performed on purpose built bikes.
The British Superbike Championship (BSB) is the leading superbike championship in the United Kingdom. As with most major motor sports there are two annual championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers. The sport has grown over the past four years since the rules were changed to allow bikes with bigger engines to enter, making the racing even sexier and thrill inducing.

The 2008 season is due to take place over 12 circuits with 2 races at each. Japanese rider Ryuichi Kiyonari won both the 2006 and 2007 season, however this season he has moved to the Superbike World Championship.
