In their very first appearance in the series The Tenth Planet, the cybermen appeared as robots with blank human faces. This story is also notable as featuring The Doctor's first regeneration! This cyberman build-a-figure comes with one part of a Cyber Controller figure. Collecting all four Build A Figure Cyberman figures will allow you to build a "Tomb of the Cybermen" Cyber Controller figure.

I have to agree with the other reviewer when i say these new 'cyber' figures are a treat for fans of 'classic' dr who. If these figures measure up to the other character options who figures released so far then these cybermen will be something special.

This "tenth planet" cyberman design may well induce giggles in some of the more imagination-starved viewers today, but i'd favour them over the new versions any day. The human hands, cloth face with opening mouth and sing-song voice are all far more profoundly chilling then the bland armoured drones the modern show churned out.
As these features have been replicated so well in the figure (apart from the voice, obviously!), it's a 'must have' item. Pity i have to buy a crappy new 'leader' figure to get the cyber controller though....

Cellotaped handlebars are optional. :) A great and worthy addition to this already impressive collection. Pioneering stuff.

Wow for the first time ever a detailed model of the very first cycberman from the tenth planet,this is long over due,43 yrs i will prob buy at least three though i just wish that they had made an earthshock cyberman in the set instead of the new cyber leader as the market is awash with moder who stuff,bring on the classisc for us oldies yehaaaaaaaaaaaa
