Play.com Review

Hasbro have reinvented a classic with the new Bop It!

The original Bop It! was a revelation when it first popped up, and the new version retains the same Simon Says-style reaction-based play of the original, but adds a few new surprises to keep you hooked! The game relies on call and response: when Bop It! tells you to do something, you do it! Commands of "Bop It", "Pull It", "Twist It" and "Shout It" are fired at you and it's up to you to respond in kind. The more responses you get right, the faster and trickier the game gets.

With reaction time being the name of the game, Bop It! is a brilliant way for kids to speed up their hand-eye co-ordination, while the challenge of unlocking the top levels - meaning access to more games - will have big kids coming back for more.

You can even take advantage of your mates in the multiplayer game, where a cry of "Pass It!" is the cue for you to watch and enjoy their attempts! Bop It! also includes the new 'Party Bop' mode where your whole body gets a workout, with commands to slam it against your belly or off your hip in order to stay in the game. If you can get the oldies involved then the possibilities are endless! Updating a much-loved game is a tricky task, but Hasbro have done the business by adding more fun, addictive features to make Bop It! one of this year's essential toys.
