Funkeys: Starter Pack (Lotus / Deuce)

Very good game my son is hooked and it is teaching him to navigate the computer he finds some games too easy and others a real challenge and absolutly loves it when he wins a trophy or a piece of gold to put in his cabane.
Should limit only an hour a day though, clever people who thought of it as it really is fun keys and you get so hooked you want to buy all teh characters to entre more andmore games and add to your personal cabane.

I have just received my funkey starter pack and it is the greatest computor game/toy I have ever had. I would recommend it for all boys around my age (10) plus younger and older. It's Boss !!!!!!!!

UB Funkeys are Great. They are the best game for the PC and they are going to be THE game to get this Christmas! They are for any age from about 6 up, my little sister likes playing and so does my Mum! You get a big Funkey (the hub) that plugs into the USB port of your pc and then there are loads of other other smaller Funkey characters to collect, which sit on the shoulders of the hub (really cute). You play the game, creating a virtual world with different areas and games for each of the different types of Funkey. You have your own Crib which you decorate and fill with different items you pick up along the way as you play the game. Its really fab and really addictive and all my friends want one!

Funkeys are great. Firstly they are so easy to use. Just load up the disc and then insert Funkey into USB port when told to do so.... then welcome to the wonderful world of Funkeys!!!
There are lots of worls to explore and play games. The more games you play the more coins you earn to decorate your crib!! Each Funkey has a different crib and you can even save them to share with friends!!
Each Funkey has its own personality and likes and dislikes. They even come in "rare" varieties so you can just keep collecting them!! Each Funkey opens up new worlds and new games so the best bit is that you'll never get bored!! This is going to be the number one "must have" for christmas (in my opinion!!) Everyone at school is on about them !!

After reading rave reviews of these, I decided to get my daughters some for Christmas.
The software wouldn't install, the hub wasn't recognised...I actually bought a second one to save time on a replacement but this failed to get off the ground too.
The help on the website was useless, I downloaded the patch, that didn't work, I re-installed everything. Trying different combinations of re-booting my PC, running the patch before, during and after the failed installations...nothing worked. So I am returning the lot.
We are all very disappointed.
The spec's say it is compatible with Vista...I even tried all the diferent compatibility settings for running the software, still nothing.
My daughters (and I) are very disappointed with these.
Am trying to locate some of the 2nd series to see if they work, but they are not out in the U.K. yet. Apparently Series 3 is coming this year in the U.S.A. Looks like the U.K. market gets treated as 2nd class consumers again.
