In my opinion, it's not a good gadget. It will provide 5 minites of fun and the kids will soon get sick of it. If you like it, buy it fot yourself, just try to avoid buyig as a birthday or christmas gift... Unless it's asked for.

  Could be better

The front of the helmet looks pretty awesome, and so are they in pictures.

However if you were to look at it properly, the back of it doesn't click properly, not that it affects you wearing it whatsoever.

For £17.99 is nearly half of what you pay at retail, which is reasonable, if you are a collector with a little extra bit of cash, go for the replica version.

  Great value

I bought the commander cody version (red trim) from else where and paid £30. This was a christmas present for my 10 year old. And for 2 weeks now I have not seen his face. I don't think he takes it of for bed!!!!

These helmets are made of soft plastic, which gives them superb strength. They look brilliant. they come with the front as one unit, then the back is made up of 3 parts that clip together very tightly. Inside is a plastic head strap that adjusts to the size of you head. And yes an adult can where one.

The voice changer isn't quite what you expect, it actually amplifies the voice slightly but mainly adds static. So expect the wearer to sounds pretty much the same, but with a slight shhhhh in the back ground. There are a number of pre-recorded sentences with what appears to be the correct voice and accent of the clone trooper.

I have now bought this version for my nephew as at the current play.com price £17.99 is excellent value. And I can confirm the Cody version is exactly the same as this version. But with a different paint job.

Also, for collectors out there. This helmet looks great on a shelf as part of a starwars collection.

I can recommend this product for all starwars fans young and old.

Doesn't actually change your voice !!

I got this today and eagerly ripped it open to see just how good it was. After a bit of a struggle putting it together (not the easiest thing in the world to do) I immediately wanted to hear my voice as a clone trooper. Unfortunately that didn't happen. The actual 'voice changer' is nothing more than a very slight amplifier and DOES NOT make you sound anything like a clone trooper. It's a shame really cos on the plus side it's quite well put together and is great looking. The pre-recorded phrases are quite good but sadly just remind you that your voice sounds nothing like it.

  Pretty Cool Toy

Recieved mine today at work. Had a problem getting the staff to do some work as they all wanted to have a play. Well made and well proportioned. Wide range of sizing options by way of adjustable plastic straps which will extend to fit adult heads easily. Wouldn't agree with the 'voice changer' aspect. It has a microphone near the mouth that is simply an amplifier. Comes in front and back sections, which, once assembled is difficult to get back in the box. Good Vision through the visor. Well pleased. Knocks holes out of the Darth Vader voice mask that was out a couple of years ago.
