It's Optimus. Half a foot high. And he transforms.
I rest my case.
This figure is nothing short of awesome. It's a major improvement on the previous OP figure. Colour's are better than previous model too.
Bot mode: He's lost a lot of weight and extra parts, and looks more film-esque. He's easier to pose, and in general, looks so much more 'there' as a robot.
Truck mode: Not many major changes. Looks a little less 'bitty', Looks more like the film truck (it even has the proper back of the cab). So all round, looking better in every way.
One quick note: I found it easier to change from Truck to bot than bot to truck. Bot to truck is fairly complex. But it's all part of the fun!
This figure stands... the previous falls.
In 2007, we were treated to Leader Class Optimus Prime.
A great figure, if a little boxy in places. 2009 Bam! Hasbro/Takara
drop this badboy on us. Very movie accurate robot mode and a brilliant new transformation. Gone is the clunky gun, now he has double blade action! Articulation is great, too.
A note to parents: May not be suitable for younger children, due to complex transformation and flip out swords.
The best movie Optimus Prime action toy yet. I have the '07 Leader Class Nightwatch Optimus Prime, who I have renamed Ultra Magnus. The transformation is very infuriating.......but it's all good. The blade's are annoying, and the only thing's that I do not like about this toy. Now onto truck mode, and I can not say a lot apart from the obvious, EXCELLENT!!
