I got this from argos for the same price, opened it from its box to look at the instructions and discovered something disturbing. Be warned before you consider buying this that the individual constructicons DO NOT TRANSFORM into their robot modes! This is very disapointing as you would expect them to and it is possible. Even the original G1 constructicons were able to transform into both vehicle and robot as well as merging together to form devastator. I guess this is a way hasbro are trying to get you to spend more, so that you have to buy the individual deluxe class constructicons for vechile and robot modes which do not combine into devastator, only this one can. Up to you if you want to get either this only for devastator, or the deluxe constructicons for vehicle and robot modes.
The movie has nothing to do with writing a review on the tyo. If you are going to pick holes in the movie, you can sit here all day and write about difference between G1 and the movie and never finish.
The only thing that is really missing from Supreme Devestator, is the fact that in the movie there are 7 constructicons, in the toy there are only 6. The 7th constructicon, Overload, who in the movie makes Devestators back, does not come as part of the set.
Hasbro couldn't figure out the right way to put Overload into the gestault so they omitted him from this toy; however, he is a piece of Devastator that is overlooked by many. Everyone knew that it was 7 constructicons, with their being one excavator. Originally we thought there was only One, but with the fact that there are two different ones which further shows that their are indeed 7 constructicons that form Devastator, but 8 all together as a team. Demolisher was destoryed in Shanghai by Optimus Prime, who was similar to Scavenger, but indeed different.
Also, the Legends class Devastator comes complete with 7 constructicons that have alternate modes, robot modes, and combine together.
Like some other reviewers have mentioned, there is a missing toy here - it's like poor ol' Devastator has been neutered!
Other than the omission of one of the Constructicon, I was really pleased with this. The attention to detail is pretty impressive and even if the individual Constructicons can't transform into their respective robot forms, who cares - it's Devastator!
