Installing Rakuten’s Play.com Mobile app
To shop with Rakuten’s Play.com from your iPhone and iPod touch, you need to visit the iPhone App Store and download it here:
When your installation is complete, simply tap the Play.com icon from your iPhone and iPod touch screen to start shopping with Rakuten’s Play.com
How do I search for items?
To search for items, tap the search option from the homepage or at the bottom at the bottom of any page from within the app.
Enter search term and tap the ‘Search’ button at the bottom of the keyboard.
Once all the search results appear you have the option to scroll through the results and select the most appropriate product
To refine your search results: Tap the Refine button on the search results page and choose from the optional refinements listed, then tap ‘Done’. The app will then display the total number of matching products in the same search results screen.
Selecting a Merchant
After clicking on the Price section, you have to choice to view All, New, and Used products. By selecting one of these options you can then view a list of merchants that sell the product and the price they’re selling it for.
Once you have selected your preferred merchant you can then view details about the seller, such as delivery times, seller rating and other comments.
How much does it cost to use the Play.com mobile app?
When using the app to shop, you’ll be charged at the same rate as you would be if browsing other web content on your mobile device. We’ve made sure our mobile site is optimised to load quickly and efficiently, using the least amount of data necessary.
How do I place orders from my phone?
It’s really easy to find what you want using our app. You can search for your desired product and select whether you’d like to buy from Play.com or one of our merchants. You can sign in to your existing Play.com account and follow the checkout instructions on screen.
How can I pay for my order?
We accept: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro/Solo, PlayFunds and Play.com Gift Vouchers. Payments are processed using the existing payment methods that are set up on your Play.com account.
Can I use vouchers and Superpoints?
Yes, you can use gift vouchers and codes as well as your Superpoints balance as you would on the full site. You will also receive Superpoints on all your purchases as usual.
Will payment details be secure when using the app?
When shopping with us your security is paramount. That is why we’ve taken every measure to ensure that our app is as secure as our full site and that your payment details are encrypted automatically when you enter them.
What delivery options are available?
Providing a range of delivery options for you is really important to us. That’s why you can choose from the same delivery options as you can on our desktop site:
Free UK Delivery – The estimated delivery time for Free Delivery is 3-5 working days.
First Class UK Delivery - The estimated delivery time for First Class Delivery is 2-3 working days Delivery costs range from £1.49 to £5.99 per delivery.
Express UK Delivery - Eligible orders placed before the cut-off time displayed during the checkout process will arrive on the next working day. Delivery costs range from £4.99 to £8.99 per delivery.
PlayTrade Delivery - PlayTraders dispatch products from a number of locations, so delivery times can vary. We ask all of our PlayTraders to dispatch items within two working days and to confirm when they have sent them. The price of a PlayTrade item includes postage costs
Free Delivery Outside of the UK – Certain countries are eligible for free delivery. Our FREE export delivery usually takes 7-10 days. A list of eligible countries can be found on the full site.

How do returns work?
