Is there an annual fee?
No, the Play.com Credit Card does not currently have an annual fee.
What are the interest rates?
- 0% on card purchases for 9 months from the date your account is opened.
- 0% for 6 months on balance transfers made in the first 90 days. (1.5% handling fee). For this great rate your balance needs to be transferred within the first 90 days of opening your account.
- Representative example 16.9% p.a. variable on card purchases. This is equivalent to 16.9% APR representative variable based on a credit limit of £1200.
How long does the introductory Balance Transfer rate last?
You will receive 0% on balance transfers for 6 months from the date your account is opened. Representative 16.9% APR variable. If you transfer a balance the month after receiving your Play.com Credit Card, you'll get the introductory rate for 5 months, and so on. Therefore the earlier you transfer the balance, the more you'll benefit from the 0% rate. Balances need to be transferred within the first 90 days of account opening.
Once I receive my card, how is it protected against fraudulent use?
There is no liability or excess to pay for theft, loss or fraudulent Internet use - as long as you tell MBNA as soon as your card cannot be found or you notice any unusual transactions on your account. Should your card be lost or stolen call 0800 854 180 or if abroad ring the operator and reverse charges to +44 1244 672 111.
Can I have an additional cardholder on the account?
With the Play.com Credit Card you can have up to three additional cardholders on your account at no extra charge. You are able to add one extra cardholder during the application process.
Can I view my account details online?
You can access your account details online by logging onto www.mbna.co.uk. With this service you can:-
- Pay your bill
- View your PIN
- View your account details, including balance, available credit, recent payments and transactions
- Transfer a balance and pay other bills.
- Request a credit limit increase, credit card chequebook or PIN and more!
What will my credit limit be?
All credit limits are individually assigned depending on your financial status.
Where can I use my card?
There are five ways to use your card:
- Shopping: use your card anywhere you see the Visa sign, whether online or on the High Street!
- Cash machines: withdraw cash using your card and PIN number. MBNA charge a cash advance fee each time you withdraw money. Please refer to the Play.com Credit Card Terms & Conditions for all fees and for details as to how interest is applied.
- Online shopping: safe and secure.
- Abroad: use your card wherever you see the Visa sign, or at cash machines. MBNA Limited charge a foreign-currency transaction fee. Please refer to the Play.com Credit Card Terms & Conditions for all fees and for details as to how interest is applied.
- Credit card cheques: Credit card cheques are like normal cheques, but are paid from your credit card account, not bank current account. They can be used when credit cards aren't accepted such as when you want to pay a household bill. We'll send some after your Play.com Credit Card has been sent to you. Please refer to the Play.com Credit Card Terms & Conditions for details as to how interest is applied.

When do I get my 1,500 BONUS PlayPoints for signing up to the Play.com Credit Card?
You will be awarded 1,500 PlayPoints if you spend £150 on your Play.com Credit Card within 90 days of your account opening.
What can I get with my PlayPoints?
You can redeem your PlayPoints for Play.com gift vouchers via your credit card account. You can access your account, by logging onto www.mbna.co.uk.
How do I collect points?
Earn 2 PlayPoints for every £1 you spend at Play.com and 1 PlayPoint for every £1 you spend elsewhere. Note: you cannot collect points on balance transfers, credit card cheques or cash machine transactions.
e.g. a £15.49 transaction will generate 30 points if it was made on Play.com and 15 points for anywhere else.
How can I check how many points I have?
Your points balance is displayed on your monthly statement. You can also check your points balance online at any time via your credit card account. You can access your account online, by logging onto www.mbna.co.uk
What are the gift voucher terms & conditions?

What can I spend my gift voucher on?
Gift vouchers can be redeemed on any of the products that are listed on the Play.com website, including items listed by PlayTrade sellers.
How are the vouchers delivered to the recipient?
The vouchers are delivered to the recipient by email only. They contain a voucher code which is entered at the checkout to redeem the value of the gift voucher against the value (or part value) of the purchase.
Can I print the voucher off and give it to someone as a present or forward the voucher email?
Yes, because the vouchers are transferable, you can give the voucher to someone else. You can also forward the voucher to another email address. In order to redeem the voucher, the final recipient must have an email address and a valid credit/debit card.

Do I have to be a Play.com customer already to receive a gift voucher?
No, you don't but you need to register for the first time when you redeem your gift voucher (a credit card is required to create an account).
How do I redeem a gift voucher that I’ve received?
It’s simple to redeem a gift voucher, which can be done during the checkout process. Add the product(s) you want to your shopping basket by pressing the “Buy” button. Click “Checkout” when you are finished shopping and you will be presented with an option to redeem your gift voucher after signing in or registering.
Can the voucher being used be redeemed against more than one product in the same purchase?
Yes, you can redeem the gift voucher against more than one product.
What are the expiry dates on the vouchers?
Gift vouchers expire one year after the date they are issued. The expiry date is listed on the gift voucher email.
What happens if the gift voucher value is higher than the price of the product(s) I’m buying? Do I get "change"?
Yes, we will email you a new gift voucher to the value of the remaining funds you have after you check out. Ensure that you keep the new gift voucher email you receive safe as it is not stored in your account.
What happens if the value of the gift voucher I have received is lower than the price of the product(s) I’m buying?
The balance can be paid by credit/debit card or with PlayFunds.
I have redeemed my PlayPoints but I have not received my gift voucher.
You should receive your gift vouchers within 24 hours. It is worth checking your junk mail folder to ensure that it hasn't been inadvertently filtered as junk email. If you still have not received it please ask the person who purchased the voucher to contact Customer Support.

What do I do if I’ve lost my gift voucher Email?
If the voucher has not been used the person who redeemed PlayPoints should contact Customer Support.

If the voucher has not been used then you will need to contact Customer Support.
Can I obtain a refund on a gift voucher I’ve received?
No, refunds cannot be given on gift vouchers.
What can I do if I’ve forgotten to apply a gift voucher I have, to an order I have already placed?
Unfortunately, you cannot amend your order to add a gift voucher once you have placed it.
If I cancel an order which was paid for using a gift voucher (either in full or in part) what happens?
You will receive an email with a new gift voucher code for use with a future purchase.
Can I use a promotional "Discount Voucher" I have at the same time as a gift voucher?
No, this is currently not possible.
Can I use gift vouchers on a purchase if I also use PlayFunds?
Yes, you can.
