What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and get dragged in a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don't.

Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. This is a masterpiece. Great story, great gameplay, plenty of humour. Best graphics of the series. A fantastic game world that rewards those who have the imagination to look around and explore. From The usual stunt jumps and secret 'packages' to random and sometimes surreal character encounters and the funniest interpretation of the internet ever devised. Brilliant.

This game is a major let down , true the grafics are class but that is about it . There is something missing out of this game it dos not come close to san andreas

Suffers from the same symptoms as Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 2. Rockstar North have created an awesome world with fantastic potential, but they simply don't exploit it. One half memorable mission, but they don't match the missions of its "punching above its weight" predecessor, San Andreas. I was a die hard GTA fan, but I'm left hoping the inevitable Vice City will fulfill the potential, but I also feel the need to try out also-ran Saint's Row 2 to see if it's more fun.
