Indulge the soldier in you on session filled with the military's latest toys. After a safety briefing you 'll find yourself at the controls of three amazing military vehicles. Then you'll get to watch one side show, which could be a look at the weapons inside the armoury or SAS woodland patrol experience, depending on which is available. You'll get to drive a Russian Gvozdika tank, a 432 Personnel Carrier and either a Lance Missile Carrier or Humvee (which was featured in the film Black Hawk Down). At the end of the day, the best driver gets to crush a car with a 56 ton Chieftain tank! Looking the part in a camouflage suit and helmet, you 're in for four solid hours of army fun.
  • Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire
  • Agenda: Your introductory tank driving experience includes a camouflage overall (which you get to keep!) and begins with a safety briefing. You'll get to drive in three military vehicles, including the Russian Gvozdika tank, 432 Personnel Carrier and either the Lance Missile Carrier or Humvee. You'll also see one side show, including a view of the weaponry in the armoury or a SAS woodland patrol (this depends on which show is available). The day ends with the best driver crushing a car in a 56 ton Chieftain Tank!
  • Notes: On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. The minimum age for this activity is 13. The minimum height is 5 '2". You should be reasonably fit, and don't need a driver's licence. The experience will last approximately four hours, from either 9am to 1pm or 2pm to 6pm on Saturdays from March to October. There will be up to 30 people participating, and spectators are welcome at a fee of £10 each (payable on the day and includes two vehicle rides). Please inform the supplier in advance if you intend to bring spectators. Bring wellies and gloves as it gets very muddy!
