Ferrite magnets are also known as ceramic. They are made from Strontium Ferrite which includes the element Strontium (Sr) an alkali earth metal that is number 38 on the Periodic Table. Ferrite magnets can also be made from Barium although they are now increasingly rare.
These are easy to use and can be stuck to a wide range of items using PVA glue, contact adhesives and epoxy resins. Use an adhesive which will work with the item you wish to stick the magnet to.
