An absolutely clear film with an improved ink receiving layer that handles much more ink than average, to make perfect negatives that can be used to 'contact' to normal print papers. It is a fast drying water-resistant film with enhanced clarity. When backed with white card, the result is similar to an Ilfochrome. The PermaJet Digital Film has been tested and used by Tim Rudman in making Digital Negatives. Tim is well known for several books on black and white printing, lith printing and toning processes. As a photographer and printer his work has been exhibited widely around the world, gaining numerous awards and distinctions. Try it for yourself! Product Handling: Avoid touching the surface, hold by edges and keep away from moisture, high humidity and direct sunlight. While the material is fast drying, should you need to stack the film after printing allow sufficient time for the ink to dry before stacking. If you require to stack faster then make sure you put an interleaving sheet of ordinary copier paper between. Printing Side: The printing side is facing you when you hold the film with the short edges top and bottom and the cut corner at the top right. Remember not to get finger marks on the film! Printer Settings : It is always recommended to select Photo Glossy or Film paper setting when using this material. Please note that you may have to experiment when using l44Odpi. Dye based printer’s 720/l44Odpi / Pigment based printers 72Odpi Technical Information: Thickness — 0.16mm (165p) Coatings — Single-sided Semi-Matt coating Primary Features — Antic-static, Excellent ink drying speed, High level of ink coverage and resolution.
